Lorena Ochoa is dominating on the LPGA Tour right now and it’s no surprised that she is always the favorite to win every tournament.
Lorena seems to just know how to win when she was young, because she actually never finished more than 3 strokes off the lead in any college event in her career. She won 12 times in two years of college and were she to stay there for all four years, it’s safe to say that she would beat Julie Inkster’s record of 17 collegiate titles.
Lorena Ochoa actually turned pro just at the right time, because it was the time where Annika Sorenstam was the main focus of the LPGA Tour. This allowed her to stay under radar until the time is right for her to start winning tournaments.
If there are any criticism of Lorena, it would be the lack of major championship titles. However, with her golfing career still relatively young, you can bet that she will be adding to her major championship trophy case as well!
