Kenny Perry is a late comer for sure, as he didn’t really make a big splash on the PGA Tour until he was in his mid 40s. Nowadays, he is one of the best player on tour and always fun to watch.
It was Kenny Perry’s dream to qualify for the Ryder Cup and he actually didn’t play the British Open just so he can get more points to be considered for the 2008 Ryder Cup team. That move paid off though because he was not only on the team, the US actually won after years of losing.
Despite all the buzz about Sergio Garcia being the best player to never win a major, Kenny Perry actually holds the title for being the highest money earner on the PGA Tour without a major. I know, these stats are meaningless in a way but hey, it sure strikes up good conversation.
