Ernie Els has really built an business empire based on his popularity in golf. Whether it’s golf course design, wine, or his foundation, he is involved.
In a sudden change in 2007, Ernie Els switched equipment sponsors to Callaway and since then, he hasn’t been in the spotlight. I’m not saying that it’s the equipment’s fault, as it’s often the indian, not the arrow but whatever the reason, I hope that Ernie can bounce back and be at the top of his game again.
Ernie Els (or the Big Easy as they call him) has an incredibly smooth swing. Coupled with his tall built, he hits the ball really far. However, smooth swings can easily be affected under pressure and that’s where Ernie falls short. It seems that he isn’t as confident with his game than other elite players and that has hindered his performance in the past.
Nevertheless, Ernie Els is a great golfer and one who many people love to watch.
