Charley Hoffman was born in San Diego, CA and grew up playing golf in the year round. Another Nationwide Tour graduate, he placed 19th on the money list to get the PGA Tour card for the 2006 season. Since then, he hasn’t looked back as he even won in 2007 on the PGA Tour.
Maybe he just needed the long distance to complement his long hair, but he averages over 300 yards in driving distance on tour and is amongst the tour’s longest hitters.
He also likes to be different, and he characterizes himself as a free spirit. Look for him in the PGA Tour this year, as winning would definitely be something “different” than norm.
